Fahcina Lawson, M.P.H., is the Team Leader for the Communications and Dissemination Core within the Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities (CRCHD) at the National Cancer Institute (NCI). In this role, Ms. Lawson coordinates the management of CRCHD’s efforts to communicate and disseminate information, products and evidence-based programs to reduce cancer health disparities to the public and scientific community.
Prior to joining CRCHD, Ms. Lawson served as the Health and Wellness Coordinator for Gwen's Girls , Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA, where she developed, managed, and facilitated evidence-based health and wellness curriculum and curriculum outcomes including psycho-educational overview of mental health, substance abuse, nutrition and fitness, hygiene, adolescent sexual health, and parenting education for adolescent females ages 8-18 years.
Ms. Lawson received her Masters in Public Health (M.P.H.) in Behavioral and Community Health Science, with a concentration in Minority Health and Health Disparities, from the University of Pittsburgh.
