Dr. Clayton D. K. Chong is the Principal Investigator of 'Imi Hale - Native Hawaiian Cancer Network, the Special Populations Network initiative serving Native Hawaiians in Hawaii. He is considered a leading clinical oncologist in Hawaii and is the only Native Hawaiian oncologist in the state. Dr. Chong is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medical Oncology at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. Early in his career, Dr. Chong completed a 2-year fellowship at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center and spent an additional 2 years there as a Clinical Instructor and Assistant Professor of Medicine. Dr. Chong has played a leadership role in establishing the 'Ahahui O Na Kauka - the Association of Native Hawaiian Physicians.
