Evelyn Botchway, M.S. is a Program Analyst and the Team Leader for the Administrative Core within the Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities (CRCHD) at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Ms. Botchway is responsible for managing budget planning, formulation and execution of the CRCHD budget, and monitoring the activities of the CRCHD administrative team which ranges from grant management services, to providing technical and general administrative support to CRCHD Program Directors. She also provides support for the CRCHD Director and Deputy Director as needed.
Prior to joining NCI/CRCHD, Ms. Botchway was a Program Performance and Systems Administrator at the NIH Office of the Director, Division of Program Coordination, Planning, and Strategic Initiatives, from 2005-2010. In that role, she coordinated NIH-wide performance reporting activities, providing statistical, organizational, analytic, and editing/writing support for the development of measures, annual targets, and results for the Government Performance Results Act (GPRA) and related Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) performance reporting activities. Ms. Botchway managed NIHís centralized performance monitoring system and website. In this capacity, she provided technical and administrative support to system users, maintained the content on the performance website, and managed IT contracts. Additionally, she provided detail support to HHS for the development of a departmental program performance tracking system.
Ms. Botchway received her Bachelorís Degree in Information Technology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and a Masterís Degree in Health Care Administration from University of Maryland, University College with an interest in Health Informatics. She holds a certificate as a Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) and is perusing certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
