Goals & Objectives

The goal of this pilot research study is to determine whether Patient Navigators improve cancer care for American Indians. The objectives of the NW PNP are to:

• Decrease time from abnormal screening to diagnosis.
• Decrease time from diagnosis to treatment.
• Increase adherence to cancer treatment regimens.
• Encourage a greater sense of patient empowerment during treatment.
• Improve coordination of care.
• Increase survival rates for cancer patients.
