Dr. Elaine J. Davis is a Professor and Department Chair at Bowie State University. Her research interests and area of specialties are in molecular biology and microbiology.

Dr. Davis received her BS in Biology from St. Augustine's College and her MS in Biology from Atlanta University. She then went to Meharry Medical College, where she obtained her Ph.D. in Microbiology. Dr. Davis completed Post-doctoral training in Plasmid Biology at Morehouse College and in Biotechnology at the University of Texas-Austin.
