Dr. Bruce Macher is the San Francisco State University (SFSU) PI for the PACHE SFSU/UCSF partnership. Dr. Macher’s research focuses on developing approaches to characterize the plasma membrane proteome, with a particular focus on the glycoproteome. The goal is to characterize the dynamics of the plasma membrane proteome and identify protein and carbohydrate markers of onto- and oncogenesis, and other disease processes. Dr. Macher received his BS and Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside.
