VIEW:
The National Black Leadership Initiative on Cancer II: Network Project (NBLIC II) was established in the 1990s to increase cancer awareness among African Americans. The broad objectives of NBLIC II included creating a national network of African-American cancer control experts and research clinicians; implementing capacity-building strategies within community-based coalitions; establishing academic and clinical partnerships; and developing collaborative research projects. The project targeted high-cancer-prevalence African-American communities.
